Pottery Summer Camp for
Kids Entering
1st-9th Grades

Campers can create small ceramic sculptures, hand-built projects out of clay slabs, work with various art media, and have an opportunity to try wheel-throwing! We spend a lot of time outside enjoying summer - hiking through lush forest trails, exploring the ecosystem of the creek, and playing in sunny fields and tranquil woodlands.

All experience levels welcome!

Projects

Monday: Choose a few of the following hand-built projects: jewelry dish, spoon rest, nesting ramekins, ornament, saucer, coil pots and/or free-form sculpture
Tuesday: Wheel throwing & watercolor
Wednesday: Glazes hand-built projects after bisque fired to cone 06. All work refired to cone 6. Glazes are food-safe and microwave/dishwasher safe
Thursday: Wheel throwing & chalk pastel
Friday: Unveiling of hand-built projects. Independent multi-media projects

Before and after scheduled art projects, kids enjoy unstructured free time to play games of their choice, ride a zipline, chill in a hammock or climb on a jungle gym in our backyard in the forest.
